What is a Peter Lik Limited Edition?
A Peter Lik Limited Edition is a signed and individually numbered fine art photograph released in a fixed edition. The edition size is listed on each artwork’s product page and varies by image, from 950 pieces for some works down to 100 or fewer for others. Once every number in an edition has been reserved, it closes permanently and no further prints are produced.
The collection spans more than a thousand images from every corner of Peter’s work: landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes, wildlife, aviation and more. Collectors seeking even greater rarity can explore the Premier Collection, with editions of ten or fewer, or The Vault, where select works are offered at final availability before they retire.
How are Peter Lik Limited Edition prints made?
Every Peter Lik Limited Edition print is produced in-house at the LIK Fine Art studio in Las Vegas, one of the few artist-owned fine art production facilities in the world. Each photograph is printed on museum-grade photographic paper and mounted beneath acrylic to reveal remarkable color, depth, and detail.
Collectors may choose a contemporary acrylic mount or an artisan frame assembled in the studio and finished with a canvas-wrapped liner. Each piece arrives with a hanging solution, while LIK Fine Art gallery consultants are available to assist with sizing, framing, and placement. Explore the LIK Fine Art framing guide to learn more about presentation options.
What sizes and formats are Peter Lik Limited Editions available in?
Peter Lik Limited Editions are available in square, classic 3:2 photographic, and panoramic formats, in sizes from 100 cm up to select panoramic works more than nine feet long.
Each image keeps the composition Peter originally envisioned, whether a balanced square, a classic landscape or portrait, or an expansive panorama that carries a scene across the wall. What is the difference between an Open Edition, Limited Edition, and Artist Proof?
Open Edition photographs are signed but not individually numbered and do not have a predetermined edition limit.
Limited Edition photographs are signed and individually numbered, with a fixed edition size listed on each artwork’s product page. Once every number in a Limited Edition has been reserved, the edition is permanently closed and no additional pieces are produced.
Artist Proofs belong to a separate, highly limited edition. Depending on the photograph, Artist Proof editions range from 10 to 45 individually numbered pieces. They are produced at a higher print resolution and presented beneath anti-reflective acrylic for exceptional clarity and detail.
