About LIK Fine Art
What is LIK Fine Art?
LIK Fine Art is the fine art photography brand of Master Photographer Peter Lik, founded in Cairns, Australia in 1997. LIK Fine Art sells limited edition photographic artwork through its galleries across the United States and online at lik.com. All artwork is produced in-house at the company's Las Vegas, Nevada facility.
Who is Peter Lik?
Peter Lik is an Australian-born landscape photographer known for large-format fine art photography of natural landscapes, wildlife and cityscapes. Entirely self-taught, he founded his first gallery in Cairns, Australia in 1997 and settled in Las Vegas, Nevada, drawn to the landscapes of the American Southwest. His work is sold exclusively through LIK Fine Art galleries and lik.com.
Can I see Peter Lik artwork in person before buying online?
Yes. Peter Lik's work is best experienced in person, at scale and under gallery lighting. Every LIK Fine Art gallery is open to visitors without an appointment, and a consultant can walk you through the collection and show you available editions and sizes.
See our gallery locations for the full list. If you are not near a gallery, contact us and we will arrange a private virtual viewing.
What is a limited edition photograph?
A limited edition means a fixed, pre-determined number of prints is produced for a given photograph, after which no further prints are ever made. LIK Fine Art limited editions range from 100 to 950 signed prints depending on the image and size. Once an edition sells out it is permanently closed.
Will LIK Fine Art ever reprint a sold-out limited edition?
No. LIK Fine Art does not reprint or re-publish any limited edition once the edition has closed. Each edition is produced in a fixed quantity and is never reproduced in any form.
What types of Peter Lik editions are available?
LIK Fine Art produces six distinct edition types, each with a different production run and level of scarcity.
Standard Limited Editions
Produced in runs of 100 to 950 signed prints, depending on the image and size.
High Definition Artist Proofs
Released alongside each standard image in runs of 10 to 45 numbered and signed prints. Artist Proofs are considered personal to the artist and are sought after by collectors for that reason.
Epic Editions
Spanning up to 27 feet, LIK Epics are the largest of Peter Lik's photographic prints and require a minimum of three separate panels to display the complete photograph. Each Epic is numbered and signed, and is available as either a limited edition or an artist proof.
Platinum Editions
Produced in runs of ten prints or fewer, each signed and numbered by Peter Lik.
Elite Editions
One-of-a-kind images hand selected and signed by Peter Lik. Elite Editions are the rarest works LIK Fine Art offers and are available to any collector.
Hors Commerce (HC) Editions
Produced in runs of 30 and created exclusively as exhibition displays in LIK Fine Art galleries and temporary public installations. HC Editions are never sold, carry no resale value, and fall outside the numbered editions produced for the public.
What are Collaborative and Protégé photographs?
Collaborative photographs are images created jointly by Peter Lik and one or more other photographers, combining their work to capture the final shot. Protégé photographs are images captured by another photographer under Peter Lik's direct mentorship and artistic direction, with Peter guiding the composition and creative approach. Both designations are labeled on the artwork so collectors know exactly how each image was made.
Why does the price of a Peter Lik limited edition change over time?
Prices rise as editions sell through. Because each LIK Fine Art edition is produced in a fixed quantity, remaining availability decreases with every sale, and pricing moves upward as the edition approaches close. Collectors who acquire an image early in its edition run pay the lowest price that image will be offered at.
Does LIK Fine Art buy back artwork?
LIK Fine Art does not operate a buy-back program and does not participate in third-party or secondary market transactions. Collectors considering a sale should consult a certified professional appraiser and conduct independent market research.
Craftsmanship
Where are Peter Lik editions produced?
Every LIK Fine Art edition is produced at the company's own production facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. Printing, mounting, framing and finishing are all performed in-house using imported and domestic materials, which makes LIK Fine Art one of very few artist-owned operations producing every piece end to end rather than outsourcing to a commercial lab.
What sizes are Peter Lik limited editions available in?
Sizes vary by photograph and frame combination. Full dimensions and available options are listed in the LIK Fine Art Edition Sizing Reference Guide.
Can I order a custom size?
Yes. LIK Fine Art produces custom sizes on request. Contact an Art Specialist by email or web chat to discuss dimensions and pricing for a specific image.
Can I have my artwork framed?
Yes. LIK Fine Art offers several hand-crafted framing options online, with additional selections available in gallery. All framing is produced in-house at the Las Vegas facility.
Does LIK Fine Art sell unframed artwork?
Yes, LIK Fine Art offers unframed limited editions. Because an unframed photograph is vulnerable during handling and mounting, we recommend the following.
Have your photograph mounted by an experienced, insured professional framer. Handle the print only with the white cotton gloves provided. Ensure the photograph is cold mounted, never heat mounted, onto a completely smooth, dimensionally stable substrate. Use a solvent acrylic adhesive with built-in UV inhibitors. Avoid softer substrates such as foam core, which increase the likelihood of orange peel, a subtle dimpling that develops on the surface over time.
Please note that LIK Fine Art is not liable for damage or replacement costs if an edition is damaged during handling or mounting.
Does LIK Fine Art sell poster prints?
No. LIK Fine Art does not produce or sell poster prints or reproductions. Every Peter Lik photograph sold by LIK Fine Art is either a signed limited edition or a signed open edition produced to fine art standards.
Are Peter Lik photographs signed?
Yes. Every LIK Fine Art limited edition carries a digitally embedded signature and edition number on the face of the artwork, along with a signed Versa certificate applied to the reverse of the acrylic.
Why is all the artwork in the gallery marked HC?
Artwork displayed in LIK Fine Art galleries is marked HC because it belongs to the Hors Commerce edition, a run of 30 prints produced exclusively for exhibition. HC prints are never sold and carry no resale value. The artwork you purchase is produced new to order from the numbered public edition.
How does LIK Fine Art authenticate its artwork?
LIK Fine Art authenticates every edition through its Edition Integrity Program. Each artwork is issued a serialized hologram applied to both the Certificate of Authenticity and the Versa certificate, with a matching record retained at LIK Fine Art headquarters in Las Vegas. This three-point record establishes provenance for the life of the piece.
Care and Handling
How do I clean the surface of my Peter Lik photograph?
Dust the glazing with a soft, damp cloth or chamois using only light pressure, rinse with clean water and dry by blotting. Never use dry or gritty cloths, which scratch the surface and generate static. Never use window sprays, scouring compounds or solvents such as acetone, as these cause permanent damage.
How do I clean the frame?
LIK Fine Art wood frames carry a protective wax finish that requires only periodic dusting with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid all liquid and chemical cleaning products, which degrade the finish over time.
Black cube frames may be cleaned with a high-quality microfiber cloth using light pressure. Compressed air removes dust from the liner, provided no moisture is expelled from the can during cleaning.
How do I protect my artwork long term?
Keep artwork out of direct sunlight, light it with low-heat LED fixtures that emit minimal UV, and handle it only with clean hands or the cotton gloves provided. Skin oils transfer readily to the surface and are difficult to remove without damage.
Displaying Your Artwork
How do I hang my Peter Lik artwork?
Your artwork ships with hanging hardware already attached to the back of the frame. Wall anchors and picture hangers are not included, because the correct fastener depends on your wall construction. Download the LIK Fine Art hanging guides for step-by-step instructions.
Peter Lik, LIK Fine Art and Peter Lik USA, Inc. are not liable for personal injury or property damage, including where these guidelines have been followed.
What hanging hardware should I use?
The correct hardware depends on your wall material, as brick, drywall, plaster and concrete each require different fasteners. Given the weight and value of fine art photography, LIK Fine Art recommends consulting a professional installer to select and fit the appropriate mounting equipment.
How high should I hang my artwork?
Hang a single piece at eye level, with the center of the artwork approximately 60 inches from the floor. When hanging above furniture, leave 6 to 8 inches between the top of the furniture and the bottom of the frame.
What is the ideal viewing distance?
LIK Fine Art recommends a minimum viewing distance of 3 feet for standard sizes and approximately 6 feet for Epic sizes of 8 feet and above. These distances reveal the depth and detail the image was composed to show.
How should I light my artwork?
A combination of spotlights and spread lighting shows a Peter Lik photograph best, with the ideal spread depending on how far the fixture sits from the artwork. Use low-heat LED fixtures with minimal UV output. LIK Fine Art recommends consulting an electrician or lighting designer, and offers a dedicated LIK Lighting collection designed for displaying fine art photography.
Can I display my artwork in direct sunlight?
No. Direct sunlight should be avoided. UV and infrared exposure causes fading and irreversible damage to photographic media over time.
Copyright and Image Use
Can I use images from lik.com?
No. All images and content on lik.com are the copyright of LIK Fine Art and may not be reproduced, copied, printed, scanned, published, hotlinked, stored, manipulated or transmitted in any form without prior written permission from LIK Fine Art. Viewing images privately online is the only permitted use.
For media, broadcast and licensing requests, contact the artist studio for approval before printing or filming.

Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your delivery address and shown before you complete your order. LIK Fine Art collects sales tax in states where we are registered to do so, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Utah and Washington.
If you are purchasing through a business or hold a valid resale or exemption certificate, contact us before placing your order and we will assist with the appropriate documentation.
International collectors are responsible for any duties, customs fees and taxes assessed by their destination country. These are not included in your order total. We recommend contacting your local customs bureau for an estimate before purchasing.

Shipping and Delivery
How long does delivery take?
Delivery within the continental United States typically takes 4 to 6 weeks from the date of purchase. Orders to Hawaii and international destinations typically require 6 to 8 weeks. Every limited edition is produced to order, so this timeline reflects production as well as transit.
Photography books and Element Packs are held in stock and typically arrive within 5 to 7 business days of shipping.
Does LIK Fine Art ship internationally?
Yes. LIK Fine Art ships worldwide. Shipping options and costs update in your cart once you enter your delivery address. International shipments are handled by DHL, which will contact you to complete a Power of Attorney form so they can act as your customs broker.
LIK Fine Art may decline to ship to destinations subject to embargo, sanctions, conflict or other legal restriction.
Who pays international duties and taxes?
International collectors are responsible for all duties, customs fees and import taxes assessed by their destination country. These charges are not included in your order total and are not collected by LIK Fine Art at checkout.
Customs authorities hold shipments for a limited period. If your artwork is not cleared and collected promptly it may be returned to LIK Fine Art or become the property of the destination government. Returned shipments incur additional fees to resend. Responding quickly to DHL's customs requests is the single best way to avoid delay.
How is my artwork shipped within the United States?
Fine art orders ship through FedEx or SEKO depending on the size, format and destination of the artwork.
FedEx
FedEx shipments require a signature on delivery, and FedEx will attempt delivery up to three times before returning the artwork to LIK Fine Art. Specific delivery appointments and time windows are not available. If you wish to waive the signature requirement, LIK Fine Art requires written acknowledgment by email confirming that Peter Lik USA is not liable for theft, loss or damage after delivery.
SEKO
SEKO shipments travel to a local terminal in your area, which can take up to one week. The estimated date shown in your tracking notification reflects arrival at that terminal, not final delivery to you. Once the artwork reaches the terminal, SEKO will call to schedule a delivery appointment, operating Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. You will receive a four-hour delivery window and a 30-minute courtesy call before arrival. No SEKO delivery is made without a scheduled appointment.
Is my artwork insured during transit?
Yes. LIK Fine Art insures every shipment in full from its production facility to the destination address on your order, and will repair or replace any artwork damaged in transit. Coverage ends on delivery to that address and does not extend to any subsequent move or transport.
What should I do if my artwork arrives damaged?
Inspect the packaging before signing for the delivery. You have the right to inspect the artwork before accepting it. Do not refuse the delivery. Instead, have the driver note the damage on the delivery record.
Limited Edition fine art
Keep all original packaging including the box and foam corners. Email 4 to 6 photographs of the box and the damage to rma@lik.com within 7 days of delivery, including the 5-digit order number and the last name on the order in the subject line. Note any preferred contact method or time of day in the body of the email. A LIK Fine Art representative will contact you within 2 business days.
Books, Element Packs, Element Frames and Open Editions
The claim window is 10 days from delivery. Send a photograph of the damage and a copy of the shipping receipt to rma@lik.com. Approved claims are replaced at no shipping cost to you.
Neither LIK Fine Art nor its carriers are responsible for damage occurring during hanging or during any transport after the initial delivery.
Can I ship to more than one address on a single order?
No. LIK Fine Art ships to one address per order. To send artwork to multiple addresses, place a separate order for each destination.
Can LIK Fine Art ship to a PO box?
No. LIK Fine Art cannot deliver to PO boxes. A physical street address is required for all shipments.
How do I track my order?
Log in to your account at lik.com and open the order history tab to see the status of current and past orders. Once your order ships, LIK Fine Art emails you the tracking number, which also appears on the order details page. Guest checkout orders receive email order and shipment confirmations but cannot be tracked online.
Can I change my delivery address after ordering?
Contact LIK Fine Art as soon as possible. If the artwork has not left the production facility the address can be updated directly. If it has already been released to the carrier, LIK Fine Art will determine whether a reroute is possible, and any carrier reroute fees are your responsibility.
If the new delivery address is in a state where LIK Fine Art collects sales tax, the applicable tax must be collected before the artwork ships or is rerouted.
If a shipment is returned as undeliverable, LIK Fine Art will attempt to reach you using the email and phone number on the order. If we are unable to arrange alternate delivery within 10 business days, LIK Fine Art has no further responsibility for the order and may dispose of the artwork at its discretion. Reshipping costs are your responsibility.
Can I delay delivery of my artwork?
Yes. You can request a delayed shipment date up to 180 days from the date of purchase. Production begins immediately after purchase regardless, and LIK Fine Art holds the completed artwork until your requested date. If no shipment date is provided within 180 days, LIK Fine Art will ship to the address on the original order.
Because production costs are incurred as soon as production begins, any request to cancel or modify the order after that point, including changes to size or image, is subject to a 50% restocking fee. Orders cannot be cancelled, changed, returned or refunded on or after the shipment date.
Returns, Exchanges and Cancellations
What is LIK Fine Art's return policy?
Ready-made products may be returned within 14 days of receipt for store credit. Ready-made products are photography books and Element Packs. Items must be returned in new condition in their original packaging, unmarred by use or wear, and you are responsible for return shipping.
Limited Editions, Open Editions and Element Frames are custom made to order and cannot be returned or exchanged.
Can I exchange my limited edition for a different photograph?
No. Each LIK Fine Art limited edition is custom produced to order, and the image cannot be changed once the order is placed.

Limited edition orders cannot be cancelled. Production begins immediately after purchase, and once production has begun, requests to cancel or modify an order, including changes to size or image, are subject to a 50% restocking fee. Once produced and shipped, artwork is non-cancellable, non-returnable, non-exchangeable and non-refundable.
Cryptocurrency purchases are final at the point of payment and cannot be refunded under any circumstance.

No. eGift Cards cannot be used to purchase other eGift Cards.
Can an eGift Card be redeemed for cash or returned?
