About the Collection
What is included in Peter Lik’s Wildlife Collection?
Peter Lik’s Wildlife Collection brings the world’s most powerful creatures into the frame. In Africa, lions and elephants roam the floodplains of Zambia, a lion rests in the golden light of Namibia, and leopards, cheetahs, and zebras reveal the patterns and grace of the savanna. In India’s Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, Bengal tigers emerge from jungle shadow and tall grass.
In North America, bison push through Yellowstone’s winter storms and horses shelter beneath the Grand Tetons near Jackson, Wyoming. The legendary white horses of the Camargue charge through the surf of southern France, while black Friesian stallions race along Mexico’s Yucatán coast at sunrise.
How are Peter Lik wildlife prints made?
Every Peter Lik wildlife print is produced in-house at the LIK Fine Art studio in Las Vegas, one of the few artist-owned fine art production facilities in the world. Each photograph is printed on museum-grade photographic paper and mounted beneath acrylic to reveal remarkable color, depth, and detail.
Collectors may choose a contemporary acrylic mount or an artisan frame assembled in the studio and finished with a canvas-wrapped liner. Each piece arrives with a hanging solution, while LIK Fine Art gallery consultants are available to assist with sizing, framing, and placement. Explore the LIK Fine Art framing guide to learn more about presentation options.
What sizes and formats are Peter Lik wildlife prints available in?
Peter Lik wildlife prints are available in classic 3:2 photographic and panoramic formats. The collection ranges from smaller Open Edition works to sweeping panoramic images, with select wildlife scenes reaching more than nine feet long.
This range allows each wildlife image to retain the composition Peter originally envisioned, whether expressed as an intimate portrait or an expansive panorama that carries a herd across the wall. Related works can also be discovered in the Year of the Horse, Black & White Photography, and Beach Photography collections.
What is the difference between an Open Edition, Limited Edition, and Artist Proof?
Open Edition photographs are signed but not individually numbered and do not have a predetermined edition limit.
Limited Edition photographs are signed and individually numbered, with a fixed edition size listed on each artwork’s product page. Once every number in a Limited Edition has been reserved, the edition is permanently closed and no additional pieces are produced.
Artist Proofs belong to a separate, highly limited edition. Depending on the photograph, Artist Proof editions range from 10 to 45 individually numbered pieces. They are produced at a higher print resolution and presented beneath anti-reflective acrylic for exceptional clarity and detail.
