Ogden Valley, Utah I camped in the Ogden Valley for a few days waiting for conditions for the perfect shoot. I knew exactly what I wanted–overcast skies and an overall feeling of calmness. Finally after five days of patience, Mother Nature cooperated. I wanted a strong perspective, so I nestled my tripod amongst the leaves as if to become part of the tree. The contrasting black branches leading upwards to touch the sky added the final touch to my composition. I needed a long exposure to capture the intricate detail of every leaf and the phenomenal yet subtle color spectrum. As I pressed the shutter, the four seconds of total stillness felt like four minutes–but it was worth the wait!
