Traveling to Italy, the intent was to capture the rolling hills of Tuscany and the countries classical seaside towns. However, while talking to some locals in Bari, they mentioned the falls at the Cilento National Park. The decision was made right then to take a detour.

The long journey through the back roads and villages of Salerno paid off the minute on arrival. It was like entering a fairy tale, a stark contrast from the rocky shores of the east coast captured just days before. The lush green vegetation filled the air with life and immediately a total sense of serenity was felt. This was an oasis, the perfect escape.

Water poured down the moss-covered slopes forming perfect strands, framed by the most amazing ancient stone bridge, the last remains of an old water mill that once stood here. The world just melted away as the tripod was set up. Reflecting silently into the glass like ponds of water, the magical beauty of mother nature was once again overwhelming.
