Peter Lik Rediscovers Stomping Grounds in his newest book, Las Vegas

Updated

Over 10 years ago, Australian-born Peter Lik embraced the neon glow of the Nevada desert and made it his new home away from home. From the gleaming beacons of Las Vegas Boulevard to the textural wonderland of Red Rock Canyon, this photographer’s paradise would become the headquarters of LIK USA – sparking a local collection of successful galleries and inspiring an endless portfolio of acclaimed images. In his most recent fine art photography book, Las Vegas, Peter passionately re-explores the well-known landscapes of Sin City from a very fresh perspective.

“When I first settled in Vegas – roughly a decade ago – I was instantly captivated by the city’s energy” Peter remarks. “Since then, so many changes to the local architecture have literally given it a new skyline and I couldn’t wait to get out there and recapture it for this meaningful tribute book.” From the nostalgic sidewalks of downtown’s Fremont Street to the top of the Stratosphere, the Artist was given remarkable access to so many of the city’s stunning views – brilliantly displayed in Las Vegas, along with classic imagery of the surrounding, natural landscape.
