Artist’s Work Helps Raise Funds at Cirque Du Soleil’s Event Aimed at Saving Lives
In continuation of his impactful partnership with ONE DROP™ – a non-profit helping to provide sustainable, clean water to communities across the planet – Peter recently donated his work to what USA TODAY has dubbed “one of the top annual events in Las Vegas.” Loaded with shock-and-awe style performances, celebrity appearances, and much more, One Night for ONE DROP provides its attendees the gratifying experience of helping others in need, while enjoying a uniquely customized, true Sin City entertainment experience from the amazing and philanthropic team behind Cirque Du Soleil.
On Friday, March 3, at the intimate Zumanity theatre inside New York-New York Hotel & Casino, One Night for ONE DROP’s night of surrealistic excitement easily surpassed the $7 million it had planned to raise. To assist this noble mission, Peter’s stunning masterworks, A Sky Full of Stars and Autumn Spirit, along with his epic book, Equation of Time, went up for grabs during the evening’s silent auction pre-party at the locale’s Liberty Loft: “I was deeply honored to participate in such an incredible night of art and charity,” states Peter. “Knowing my work is going to assist communities in need is more gratifying than I ever imagined. Thanks to all those who attended – you are helping us make the world a better place!”
One Night for ONE DROP attendees were also treated to special performances from multi-platinum selling vocal group, The Tenors, America’s Got Talent winner, Grace VanderWaal and Emmy Award-winning actor, William Shatner. The evening finished poolside with an exclusive After Party with performances by The Backstreet Boys, Redfoo from LMFAO, and EDM sensation Sultan + Shepard. Of course, the center of the evening was the fantastical one night only showcase by Cirque Du Soleil artists, who unsurprisingly brought the house down with daring acts of bravery and physical strength. In keeping with the non-profit’s noble mission, all proceeds from ONE DROP’s annual event will go to helping many communities, families, and individuals across the globe gain access to clean water and better living conditions.
