Updated

Peter’s Long-Running Gallery Holds Strong After 14 Years of Success

On Thursday, October 19, at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort, the Artist’s longest running gallery, LIK Fine Art Lahaina was graciously honored with a Ho’okela Award – a retailer’s symbol of excellence – for its illustrious place as 2017’s Maui Retail Business of the Year. Presented by Retail Merchants of Hawaii (RMH), this latest accolade is the direct result of contributing to the success of and vitality of the local retail industry.

To accept the award on behalf of the Master Photographer, Waikiki Senior Gallery Director, Steven Maier, was in attendance: “This win means a lot to all of us who have worked with Peter at his incredible galleries on the islands,” he says. “We have all seen first hand his unbreakable passion for this land and it’s precious inhabitants. To be recognized by RMH after 14 years of business, proves LIK Fine Art Lahaina’s steady resolve to remain at the forefront of modern retail, and Peter’s ability to steer his ship at every turn.”

Founded in 1901, RMH is a statewide, non-profit trade association committed to the growth and development of the retail industry in Hawaii, with a mission to serve as its advocate: “Maui is my home-away-from home,” Peter adds. “I will never stop doing whatever I can to help the local community and people who have taken me in as one of their own since day one. A huge thanks to the legends at RMH for all their efforts and to my incredible staff in Lahaina for their undying dedication and hard work.”
