Peter Lik Featured in LAX
Travelers at Los Angeles International Airport's (LAX) Tom Bradley International Terminal are treated to unmatched vistas of Los Angeles, thanks to a collaboration between Star Alliance and renowned photographer Peter Lik.
Echoing the innovative spirit of mid-20th century Los Angeles, the lounge's design draws inspiration from the modernist architecture prevalent in the 1950s and 1960s, reinterpreted with a contemporary flair. Adorning the walls are Peter Lik's captivating black and white photographs, each a homage to the city's iconic landscapes, adding a layer of timeless elegance to the space.
This exquisite lounge accommodates up to 400 guests and boasts a distinctive open-air terrace. This feature offers sweeping views of the northern runway stretching toward the Hollywood Hills, providing guests with a sensory retreat. The terrace, enhanced by the warmth of fire pits and the soothing sound of a water wall, offers a serene oasis amidst the bustling airport environment.
Peter Lik expressed his pride in contributing to the terminal, stating, "I’m honored to have my photography featured at LAX in that venue, the black and white shots of LA look particularly timeless in that lounge environment." This collaboration brings a piece of Los Angeles' soul into the heart of LAX, marrying art with the travel experience in an unforgettable setting.
