Equation of Time Grabs Gold from Printing Industries of America

Peter Lik’s Fine Art Book receives top honors at Printing Industries of America’s Annual Awards Competition

Each year, Printing Industries of America (PIA) holds its much-anticipated Premier Print Awards competition, which acknowledges the highest quality printed pieces in various categories from around the world. After a panel of expert judges scrutinized thousands of this year’s entries, Peter Lik’s Equation of Time was announced as the winner of three Gold “Bennies”, including the highly coveted James H. Mayes Jr. Memorial for “Best of Show”.

In its 66th year, the Premier Print Awards is considered the printing industry’s oldest, largest, and most prestigious international graphic arts competition. More than 2,400 submissions were received from printing and graphic arts firms, and judges awarded the Benny to the top entry in each category. Michael Makin, president and CEO of PIA states: “This year’s entries were outstanding. Despite the fierce competition, Peter Lik, through hard work and dedicated craftsmanship, produced a piece worthy of the Benny.”

Peter could not be more proud or humbled to receive not one, but three coveted, golden statues, which have become universal symbols for excellence in the printing industry. “I am blown away by this praise from such a respected name in the world of professional printing,” says Peter. “So much hard work went into the production of this book, and my team and I are truly grateful to PIA for these awards.” With this latest news, there is no question that the 528-page gallery-in-itself has truly become a standout in the world of book design.

Congrats, Pete!
