In my quest to capture the beauty of the California coast, this pier presented itself – where the harmony of man-made architecture and nature converged. The long summer days along this coast painted a surreal scene. The sun, a distant memory, left me waiting. The vital element needed to give depth and clarity within the converging lines. I positioned my camera beneath the pier, transforming the ordinary into an extraordinary perspective.
This journey to capturing the shot was a test of patience. On the seventh day, my perseverance was finally rewarded. As I watched, the clouds shifted, and for a brief moment the sky illuminated the structure in a perfect light. I captured a series of shots, my hands moving almost on instinct.
