Peter Lik Teams up with Circus Couture for a Night of Fashion and Art

Updated

This past weekend, on Sunday, October 5, Peter Lik proudly donated his magical masterpiece Crimson Tides, to be auctioned off during the most recent Circus Couture show at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Circus Couture is a Las Vegas charity, raising money for pediatric cancer treatment and research through exciting circus, fashion, and art events.

At the very top of the night, an auction, featuring Peter Lik’s work, kicked off the event with a bang. Crimson Tides, Lik’s luminous image taken at Antelope Canyon, Arizona was caught in an intense bidding war. The winner? Famed magician Criss Angel generously offered three times the initial value of Peter’s photograph, which retails for $4,500.

Peter was “stoked” to be part of such a good cause: “Charities like this really help put life in perspective. It’s a great feeling to be able to help in any way I can.”

Proceeds from the Circus Couture events go to benefit children suffering from cancer. Through partnering with sister fundraising team Cirque du SoBald and Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, the charity program has raised over a quarter of a million dollars for St. Baldrick’s Foundation & Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada - the only clinic in the state that treats kids with cancer regardless of their family's ability to pay for services.

Way to go Pete!
