Peter Lik’s Epic Fine Art Book Honored by Australian Institute for ‘Outstanding’ Design
The Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) has once again heaped praise upon its native son, Peter Lik, who has been receiving awards from the organization since well before it granted him the title of Master of Photography in 2002. During AIPP’s 2016 Australian Professional Photography Awards (APPA), the Artist’s 106-pound exploration of his most prized landscape images, Equation of Time, was granted the prestigious GOLD AWARD for “Outstanding visual communication, interpretation, emotional impact, and remarkable technique.”
Considered to be Australia’s pre-eminent professional photography event, the APPA competition is open to photographers across the globe, from all disciplines, and seeks to reward current “image making.” During AIPP’s Annual Gala, Peter’s unprecedented fine art photography book received its well-deserved award by judges, who assessed it based on criteria, such as imagination, innovation, presentation, image design, and beyond.
“Hailing from Australia, it could not mean more to receive such incredible acknowledgement from AIPP,” Peter remarks. “I am extremely grateful to the expert panel of judges for their recognition of this project.”
